A lot of the extra taxes placed on citizens will not apply to many Democratic states. The rest of us will pick up the slack.  Chuck Schumer,  Harry Reid,  Bob Mendendez, Debbie Stabenow,  John Kerry,  have secured special  allowances for the states of  New York, ,Michigan, New Jersey, Nevada, Rhode Island, and Oregon.

Examples;

  • New York, Chuck Schumer -Democrats plan to apply a tax of 40% on so called Cadillac health care plans. Sates such as Kentucky the federal govt. will attach a 40 percent tax on policies costing more than $21,000. Not so New York. A 40% tax will not be applied until the cost of the plan exceeds $26,000.
  • Harry Reid of Nevada has secured for his state and the following, Oregon, Rhode Island & Michigan an exemption for  additional Medicare expenses for 5 years.
  • New Jersey- In order to save jobs in his state, Democratic Senator Bob Menendez of New Jersey (home of  “15 of the world’s 20 largest pharmaceutical companies.”) has included in the bill a 1 billion dollar tax credit for companies investing in the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Michigan Democrat, Sen. Debbie Stabenow & Massachusetts Sen. John Kerry$5 billion added to the bill to supplement the medical costs of union members.
