FEDS WANT MORE POWER OVER DRIVING HABITS

FEATURING, ANOTHER OF OBAMA’S  DEMOCRATS,
CRONY RAY HOOD D.O.T.

Ray Hood Placed in the Dept of Transportation or D.O.T by Obama wants more control over the habits of drivers.

They can’t help themselves

They have been readying the public for this for months or years with a constant stream of stories in newspapers, magazines and news programs on driver distractions.  Google alone produces 278,000 articles on the subject.   The Fed wants to ban all use of cell phones in cars.  Specifically, the  secretary of the  U.S.  Dept. of Transportation , Secretary, Ray Hood has said cell phone usage causes  “cognitive distraction” even if the usage is hands free.  So, I’d like to know, how about children in the car?  What about dogs?  What about listening to a cd or the radio?  What about smoking?  How about a conversation with someone sitting in the car.  Will they ban speaking to your companion sitting beside you in the car?  Are all of the above examples of “cognitive distractions”?  Just how unpleasant do they want to make driving?  As unpleasant as air travel?  What is that their aim?  What is next?  a camera in every car??????? That’s not that far fetched.  Democrat, Earl Blumenauer of Oregon introduced legislation to place a GPS system in every car so that citizens could be taxed by the mile.

In the past, the D.O.T, not congress, determined which states received highway funds. In many areas extortion was used to extract compliance.  Highway funds were withheld from states until they passed laws requiring seatbelt usage and enacted a mandatory age 21 for drinking.
